The Bhetali Tu Punha actor has planned a party at his new farmhouse in Vada, Palghar. This will also be the first year since he moved to Mumbai that the actor will celebrate his birthday . He says, “I am not a party animal. So, celebrations for me are always with close friends. And this year, it will be a close-knit party with 10-12 friends from the industry as well as my brother, Gaurav,” says Vaibhav.
The actor, who is currently working on Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, is looking forward to a quiet time with music and friends. “I have never had a birthday party as such since I moved to Mumbai. It would always be dinner with a few friends. However, this year, it is going to be different, as we plan to have a mehfil of ghazals, Hindi and Marathi songs. I have friends who are professional singers and some who love to sing, so we all are going to have a blast. My favourite, which will be on the list, is ‘Aapke haseen rukh pe’ by Mohammed Rafi. There will also be fast-paced tracks, and, of course, songs from my films.”
Vaibhav is satisfied with his work, but believes he still has a very long way to go. “For someone who came from a different dialect and no industry background, I think I have started out right. However, I still have a very long way to go. This is just the beginning and I am looking forward to much more.”
The actor’s birthday plans include visiting a temple and donating money at an orphanage in Nagpur. “This is a practice that we follow on each family member’s birthday,” he says.
